Botox^® Cosmetic, or botulinum toxin type A, is a protein commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles non-surgically. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead, and mouth to smooth crow’s feet, frown and worry lines, and the lines on the neck.

The injections work by blocking nerve impulses, thus weakening the muscles to relax wrinkles and give the skin a rejuvenated look. Botox^® may also be helpful for migraine headaches and excessive sweating in the palms or axillary areas. The procedure is quick and virtually painless! A typical Botox patient may once have been over 30, but more men and women are deciding to have this procedure at a younger age to prevent premature wrinkles from appearing.

Dramatic responses to Botox injections are often seen within a few days. However, the results in most cases are temporary and may need to be repeated after 3 to 6 months. Individual results may vary. Pricing is determined during consultation.
