Botox^® Cosmetic, or botulinum toxin type A, is a protein commonly used to non-surgically reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow’s feet, frown and worry lines and the lines on the neck.

Procedure Information

The injections work by blocking nerve impulses, thus weakening the muscles to relax wrinkles and give the skin a rejuvenated look. Botox^® may also be useful for migraine headaches and excessive sweating in the palms or axillary areas. The procedure is quick and virtually painless! A typical Botox patient may once have been over the age of 30 but more men and women are deciding to have this procedure at a younger age in order to prevent premature wrinkles to appear.
